Real Madrid Coach Fires Back

Facing mounting media speculation about unrest behind the scenes at Real Madrid, Xabi Alonso has pushed back – insisting the club remains “very solid from within.” The comments come amid reports that several high-profile players are unhappy with his management, and that talk of a possible Xabi Alonso sacking has begun to emerge.

Despite the pressure, Alonso said he remains confident in the unity of his squad. “We all know and are clear about the objective, which is to reach the end of March, April, May with a chance to win everything,” he stated.

“We’re together in the good times and the not-so-good times,” the Spaniard continued. “These things happen in football teams. We have a good connection on a daily basis. Despite everything that’s being said and what some people want, we’re very solid from within.”

Unity from the Players – Public Backing Amid the Xabi Alonso Rumours

In the midst of the Xabi Alonso sacking rumours, midfielder Federico Valverde posted a message on social media showing dressing room solidarity:

“After a week of many things being said, we are more united than ever. Having Vini and [Kylian] Mbappe is luck, but having the best team in the world committed is an honour.”

Alonso also took the opportunity to clear the air about his relationship with Bellingham, describing it as strong. He praised Bellingham’s professionalism, willingness to learn, and adaptability.

“I have a very good relationship with him,” said the Real Madrid coach. “He has that eagerness to learn, to know, to help, to be more efficient.”

Results Don’t Lie

Alonso did not deny that managing Real Madrid comes with pressure.

He acknowledged, “It’s demanding, that’s for sure,” but added he is no stranger to such circumstances. He reminded critics and fans alike that discomfort and uncertainty are not unusual when a new manager tries to install structure and discipline within a squad used to freedom. “You have to know how to live with it,” the Real Madrid coach said.

Indeed, despite the Xabi Alonso sacking rumours, Real Madrid remain in a strong position both on the La Liga table and the Champions League table.

That on-field success gives Alonso and his backers at the club a solid foundation to resist calls for change. Club insiders reportedly believe now is not the time for disruption.

Whether that translates into longer-term stability depends on what happens over the next few months. For Alonso, backing from players and results on the pitch are essential to keep doubts at bay.
