Spain’s dominating performance in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final ended in a 1-0 win against former World champions, Argentina. This led to the Donald Trump World Cup trophy presentation at the tournament, particularly to captain Rodri and Coach Luis De La Fuente.
In presenting the FIFA World Cup, Trump bragged about the tournament’s success in the United States of America. After the Trump World Cup trophy presentation, the 47th US president had this to say:
“If we are to judge in terms of football events, I don’t think there’s been anything like this World Cup so far. The tournament is 4 times better than any FIFA World Cup event ever played. In fact, they tell me today it’s 5 times better than previous ones. But that’s only a thought…I feel this World Cup was really, really incredible.”
He further added:
“Although the USA didn’t get to the finals, we are very proud of how they’ve performed. We are happy with the players… how they have performed. As I said, this has to be the best event that has been held. Not just football-wise. So we’re happy and fortunate the USA participated as a co-host, and our players performed excellently. This tournament has moved people from all over the world into the USA. They love the States. We couldn’t be more proud.”
To this end, it appears Donald Trump has delivered his intention to the FIFA board for the USA to hold another World Cup. The president described it as an immediate demand.
However, Spain, Portugal and Morocco will host the next World Cup while Saudi Arabia hosts that of 2034.
Did Trump Actually Favour the United States?
Fanatics suggest that Trump had a hand in FIFA overturning Folarin Balogun’s red card. In fact, Trump did have a hand in the forward’s red card overturn. Recall Balogun was suspended for a challenge against Tarik Muharemovic’s ankle, and FIFA cited Article 27 of the disciplinary code in support of the overturn.
What then plays out is that Folarin was given a one-year probationary timeline. This explains why he was eligible to start against Belgium.
The eligibility sparked several outbursts not only from the football world, but also from UEFA.
Trump World Cup Trophy Presentation: Trump’s Ill-Fate with The Argentines
After their defeat against Spain in the final, Argentina’s players weren’t having it. In fact, Paredes was sent off for indecent conduct after the match.
And during the Trump World Cup trophy presentation, Lisandro Martínez appeared to have rejected a handshake from the U.S president. It was also gathered that the Manchester United defender refused to shake Gianni Infantino’s hand.
Romero also did something similar during the Trump World Cup trophy presentation. Although he shook hands with the Mexican President and the Prime Minister of Canada, he clearly snubbed the president of the United States.
However, this failed to get Trump bothered. He ensured he delivered the World Cup trophy to Spain at the silver medal ceremony.
In fact, it was only later on that Infantino pulled him away a bit from the players, with the Trump World Cup trophy presentation well over.

Gianni Infantino Set to be Appointed as Secretary-General of the United Nations
It’s quite clear Donald Trump and Gianni Infantino enjoy what would be called a World Cup-strengthening relationship. Even before the Trump World Cup trophy presentation, the U.S president was honoured to present the Peace Prize in late 2025.
To this effect, Trump is rumoured to have Infantino as the next secretary-general of the United Nations. There’s no doubt Infantino is a well-renowned character in the international space and has brought several countries together.
Perhaps, in the same vein, Trump eyes the FIFA president as someone who could unite countries in the political sphere.
PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
